There were two men, Darryl and Mike, who had been friends since early childhood. They were more brothers than anything else. Darryl was from a devout Christian home and had genuinely accepted Jesus as his Savior early in life. He lived a blessed life both spiritually and financially. He gave of his blessings to many people without complaint. Darryl grew in his spiritual life and realized that he walked in the gift of prophecy. Often sharing with others how God was going to bless their lives.
Mike was raised in a not so Christian home where his parents went to church every now and then. By nature, Mike was a truly good person and also lived a prosperous life. From time to time, when they were growing up, Darryl would drop of Word about how God was blessing him. Darryl told him how God was going to make a way for him to go to college, and He did. He told him how God was going to connect him with the right people to build his business, and he did. He told him that he was going to be extremely prosperous, and he was.
One day, the friends were on their way to dinner and got into a fatal accident. They closed their eyes on earth and opened their eyes at the pearly gates of heaven. Darryl was all smiles because he understood what was going on. He had made it to heaven. Mike stood clueless without any idea where they were or what was about to happen.
As they moved closer to the gate, they saw an angel with a large book. Everyone approaching the gate gave their name and the angel let them in. Darryl went first and was allowed in. He smiled and told Mike, I’ll be waiting for you on the other side; However, when Mike told the angel his name, he was rejected. When he asked why, the angel replied that his name was not found in the book. He was not listed as someone that had accepted Jesus’ invitation and because Jesus did not have a relationship with him, he could not come in. Instead of spending eternal life in heaven, he would spend it in hell.
The angel further explained, even though you were a good person, you never accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior. You accepted his blessings, but you never accepted Him.
Mike looked at Darryl on the other side of the gate and said, no one ever told me about accepting Jesus Christ. They told me about how I was going to blessed with earthly goods, but not about how to accept Jesus Christ or how to obtain eternal life. Is there nothing that I can do?
The angel replied, “Nothing”. Mike missed eternal life with Jesus because Darryl prophesied to him about everything accept Jesus.
What are you sharing to those in your life about Jesus? Those who cross your path?
Jesus is coming soon. He has not changed. Have you told as many about Him as you can?
For anyone that does not know Jesus as their personal Savior, let me say this to you. God loves you so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, to die for all the wrong you have done in your life. Jesus became a sacrifice so that you would have the opportunity to be totally forgiven for your worse sin. There is nothing that God can’t forgive you for, no matter how bad it is. The devil would have you believe that you cannot be forgiven, but God truly has forgiven you and loves you so much that the blood that His Son, Jesus shed on Calvary washes away all that you have done wrong.
All you have to do is confess with your mouth that you believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that He died for you, and then believe that God has truly forgiven you. Tell Him that you desire to live your life patterned after Him which means sharing the love and hope of God with everyone. Sharing the gift of Jesus with them.
For anyone who needs to revive their relationship with God, He stands waiting for you to confess and turn away from your sin. He will never throw your sin back in your face. Accept that He has forgiven you and then forgive yourself.
We are living in the last days. Wars and rumors of wars. Families at odds with one another. World financial issues, pandemics, etc.
The most prophetic gift and word that you can give someone is that Jesus died for them and has forgiven them. Accept Him now and receive eternal life.
I'm Just Sayin'...
